PM-HME Heat Moisture Exchanger

Passy Muir PM-HME

Not to be confused with a speaking valve, the Passy Muir Heat Moisture Exchanger (HME) is a non-sterile, lightweight, single patient use device designed to be positioned on a tracheostomy tube to warm and humidify gases breathed in by a patient. The PM-HME is intended for spontaneously breathing tracheostomy patients. Users are healthcare professionals trained in the care of patients with a tracheostomy, including physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, physiotherapists, and respiratory therapists, as well as patients and caregivers under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Made in the USA.
